I already talked about the courtyards of Cordoba in the first blog but there was another bigger patio that we saw. That patio had 12 families living in it. 12 !! With only 1 bathroom and one kitchen, until the 12th century, the families lived together. Again, the 4 elements of a patio are a well, the water, the stone floor, and the flowers. No matter how small the room is, if you have these 4 things, it is a patio. On this excursion, we also saw a synogogue. There was a part of town where many of the inhabitants were Jews. This is an example of how there was coexistence in Córdoba before the reign of Isabella and Ferdinand. The last part of this tour was Los Jardines de Alcazar. It had very geometric trees and also fountains with fish. I did not have much time in the gardens but it was a beautiful sight.
